Setup Instructions

Programming with Direct Code Entry

1. Turn on the Device: Turn on the device you want to control (e.g., TV).
2. Press and Hold the Setup Button: Press and hold the 'Setup' button on the remote until the red LED indicator stays on, then release the 'Setup' button.
3. Enter the Device Code: Enter the 4-digit code for your device using the numeric keypad on the remote. The red LED will turn off after entering the correct code. You can find these codes in the remote's user manual or on the manufacturer's website.
4. Test the Remote: Point the remote at the device and press the 'Power' button. If the device turns off, the code was entered correctly. If not, repeat the steps with the next code on the list.

Programming with Auto-Search Method

1. Turn on the Device: Turn on the device you want to control.
2. Press and Hold the Setup Button: Press and hold the 'Setup' button until the red LED indicator stays on, then release the 'Setup' button.
3. Press the Device Button: Press the button for the device you want to control (e.g., 'TV').
4. Auto-Search: Press the 'Power' button repeatedly until the device turns off. Each press sends a new code to the device. When the device turns off, the correct code has been found.
5. Store the Code: Press the 'Enter' button to store the code. The LED indicator will turn off.

Common Functions

1. Power: Turns the selected device on and off.
2. Volume Control: Adjusts the volume.
3. Channel Navigation: Changes the channels.
4. Numeric Keypad: Allows direct input of channel numbers.
5. Menu: Accesses the menu of the device.
6. Guide: Opens the program guide (for set-top boxes).
7. Info: Provides information about the current or highlighted program.
8. Exit: Exits menus or returns to the previous screen.

Troubleshooting

1. Unresponsive Remote: Ensure the batteries are correctly installed and not depleted.
2. Device Not Responding: Try a different code from the list or use the auto-search method.
3. Resetting the Remote: To reset the remote to factory settings, refer to the user manual for the specific reset procedure.
